Monica Lacey

Monica Lacey is a multidisciplinary artist driven by curiosity, connection, and the pursuit of beauty in all its forms. Her current work is inspired by nature, communication, language, and liminal spaces. She employs a variety of media as needed to express the vision of each project, from underwater photography to encaustic to installation. 

Monica holds a Diploma in Textiles and Photography from the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design, and has received several awards and grants for excellence in her work and service to her community. She has attended residencies in Canada and the US and her artwork is in public and private collections across North America. Monica lives in Charlottetown, PEI, Canada on unceded Mi’kmaq territory with her husband and daughter, where, in addition to her studio practice, she teaches Kundalini Yoga and meditation.
